Merry Christmas

Well, I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas. It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been laid flat by a flu, then a cold, and then a sinus infection which took a bunch of antibiotics and a steroidal nasal spray to get rid of. Not much fun when you’re pregnant, to boot! Everything seems to be getting back to normal finally, though!

I did manage to take some photos of the project I was working on for Rob’s umpire instructor’s clinic which took place at the end of November, and the Christmas cards I made. The booklet we made for the clinic was a set of drills instructors could use to teach young umpires. They turned out really well, I’m pretty proud of them, and of Rob for coming up with the idea and putting the materials together. It was a lot of work and I managed to wrangle a new Quickutz All in One Binder for storing my dies for all my effort (there was a lot of cutting involved, which made my cutting blade on my scrapbooking trimmer very dull!).

I’m very happy with the way my Christmas cards turned out as well. I found the round stamp (on the white cards) and the whole card design kind of fell in place in my head. A friend of mine did some 4×4 rounded corner cards at the crop we attended in late November, and I really liked the look of them, so I did some of my own as well. They are very cool and I’ve had lots of compliments on them. I’ve never really used glitter before, but I like the way the tree came out on the 4×4 cards.

My husband was wonderful to me for Christmas and I got a new alphabet from Sizzix, Cherish. It’s beautiful. I also got a magnetic storage book from Quickutz for my cookie cutter dies. Yay!
