Another layout I did at the crop that I totally love.  I think it’s my second favorite layout behind my weight loss layout.  Check it out:

I used mostly Moxxie papers and rub ons, with a few Making Memories products (the flocked snowflake vellum and the die cut sticker), Dear Lizzy + American Crafts thickers, a chipboard 1 and some ribbon I had in my stash and an EK Success large border punch.  I LOVE that punch.  I bought it the morning of the crop and I’ve used it more than I have used most of my other punches combined already.  Fabulous!! I simply adhered some white cardstock behind the punched piece of paper so it didn’t have two different papers showing through behind it.  I wanted it to have a cleaner look.  I’ve seen a number of layouts where people have punched white cardstock and layered patterned papers behind the circles – it’s a fabulous look and that’s what inspired me to add the white behind it.  I did a lot of layering, and I loved the curve in one of the patterned papers so I cut along the curve and then traced the curve onto my vellum and cut it to match.  So instead of one being on top of the other they actually butt up against each other.  I also really like pleating and scrunching paper and ribbon right now so I ran the ribbon through my Xyron sticker maker and adhered most of it straight and then pleated and scrunched the rest of the ribbon.  I love the look and how it gives an extra bit of dimension and interest.

For our first anniversary we went snowshoeing in Whistler and it was beautiful and so much fun.  We’ve tried to go every year around our anniversary since then, albeit with a few exceptions for pregnancies and illnesses.  In 2009 we even bought Kyle his own snowshoes for Christmas but we haven’t been able to use them yet!  Oh, well, soon I hope.
