A messy craft room
Last night Kristina Werner posted pictures of her messy craft room. I completely agree with everything she wrote! I would love to have the perfect craft room with everything completely organized, neat and tidy. However, real life isn’t necessarily like that and my life is not neat and tidy and organized (very far from it), and so my craft room will probably never look like that either ;D Here are some photos of my craft room:
This is my craft desk just as I am starting a project. I had actually tidied up a bit after my last project (since these are for classes I try to keep everything separated). The class I’m working on is using the My Mind’s Eye Stella & Rose [Mabel] line. I love it, it’s totally gorgeous!!
These are some projects waiting for me to get to them on top of some of my storage bins.
My Ikea Expedit cube which has my paper, stickers, projects I’m working on, and some of my tools.
My messy under desk area where I keep towels for misting and some spare bins.
An old CD tower put to good use for my punches, inks, embossing powder, adhesive, buttons, etc.
Another view of my desk where I have my Copics, pens, colored pencils, paint and paint brushes stored hanging on the wall and my poor Silhouette which hasn’t seen much use lately…
And last a view of the right side of my desk which has some completed projects, some of the tools I’ve been using frequently, and a drawer storage tray which houses my most used tools like scissors, bone folder, paper piercer, sanding tools, adhesive, etc…
Before I go I thought I would share a super simple card I created based on the challenge (which apparently I missed since it expired yesterday ;D Oh, well, next time!) over at Lawnscaping Challenge site which is to use a single splash of color. I colored in the heart and the flower by tapping my Fired Brick Distress Ink on my craft mat and then spritzing it with a mix of Perfect Pearls and water. Then I used a fine paintbrush to color them in. It’s super shimmery in real life!
I am so happy that Precious Memories is carrying Lawn Fawn. I seem to buy one stamp set every time I go into the store ;D I also used a bunch of Lawn Fawn stamps on an upcoming class for May using the American Crafts Hello Sunshine line. They are awesome and I can’t wait to show you guys! AC and Lawn Fawn really is a match made in heaven ;D

Not messy, awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! I love how you have that thing hanging to the left of your desk that holds your copics, colored pencils and what not. What a great idea! Where would I get something like that? I live in California, and not sure where you are! Thanks again for sharing, it’s great to get new ideas to try and get more organized!!!1
I bought the rail and the buckets at Ikea in the kitchen area. I live near Vancouver, BC, Canada. It’s perfect! I have another rail that I am going to use to hang hand-made paper I get locally – it’s the perfect size ;D
